The Chain

"The Chain" illustrates the evolution of ethnicity rights from Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King's achievements from the 1950's through to Mandela's victory in South Africa, and finally to the election of the first black president of the United States, Barack Obama, in 2008.

Each of these inspirational figures in their own right contributed to and played a crucial role in the movement for equality for all black and ethnic communities throughout the United States and South Africa. Their self sacrifice for others and legacy has however been felt throughout the whole world and they continue to encourage and give hope to today's generations.
